I have been a tiny bit busy the last couple of day with some blog related stuff. After thinking about it for about 2 minutes I decided to close down Gainsnlosses, lets face it, I wasn’t posting that much on that blog and now I can concentrate on just this one.
I also went through the domain names that I own and stopped a few from auto renewing saving myself some bucks in the process. My next victim is going to be my original blog, I am going to cancel the account probably sometime in the next 3 months, I couldn’t do it this time around because it already had auto renewed.
I have no regrets whatsoever about starting 2 blogs, I thought it would be a good idea at the time but in the end it just didn’t work so now it is time to move on.
It has been raining in sunny Los Angeles since forever it seems but according to the weather dude it should be over sometime today, yes today. There has been scattered thunderstorms all morning and just a second ago I heard some rumbling so thunder is back in play. In the meantime I am going to stay indoors and try to stay warm and dry.
Man oh man, I don’t even remember the last time that I had the flu but it has been a while, more than a year I would say. So there I was playing Call of Duty: Black Ops, more on that on a different post, last Friday night when my throat started to hurt and immediately I knew that I was going to get sick and sure enough by Saturday the hurt was on. I am being a good boy, as usual, so I have been taking my medicine and will be taking it every four hours as directed by the label. Hopefully I will be fine sooner than soon because being sick just plain sucks.
My dad and I had to run some errands for my sister yesterday and as a result of that I ended up going to bed at 11:30 pm, yes, you read that right, 11:30pm. We were up at 5 am and were not finished until 3:30 pm, when it was all said and done we had driven to Burbank and back a total of four times.
I was so tired and I have no one to blame but myself, if I had gotten any sleep the previous day I would have been ok but that was not the case. I played MW2 until about 3am and then just laid down in bed reading instead of getting some sleep. That is the last time that I do that………………………………..yeah right!.
One thing that you can always count on living in the big city is the noise. At the moment I am sitting on the couch watching TV and I can hear a few helicopters that have been there forever, sirens, an ice cream truck that for some reason parks across the street from my place pretty much everyday, dogs barking and kids going crazy next door. If I was a betting man I would bet that the helicopter and sirens are because of some idiot running from the police, normal around here you know. It usually is not this bad but for some strange reason it is today, I wish I could just get away to a quieter place even for a couple of hours but sadly I can’t.
So I had this dream last night where the whole planet was covered in water and we were living in man made islands. We couldn’t go in the water because there were huge monsters in it. The Navy ships flew and were huge, in one of my dream sequences I was looking up at a Navy ship flying up right above the floating city when it blew up and it was announced that over 15,000 had died in it.
In another sequence I was with a female, in the dream I knew her but I can’t remember her face or name now, in the belly of the island city and there was a leak from some machinery and if a drop from the leak were to hit you it would go through you, I then looked at my shirt and saw a bunch of holes in it but I was fine and then I woke up.
Dreams are so much fun.
I seem to be having a bit of writer’s block, I just don’t know what to write about. Funny thing is that as soon as I finish and post this I am going to remember something to write about, yep.
It is a hot day here in sunny Los Angeles, at the moment Sunshine’s weather gadget reads 90 degrees. Yesterday was just as hot but at least we had a nice breeze so when I sat under the peach and lemon trees it felt so nice but today there is no breeze, not yet anyway, so I don’t think that I have to tell you how it feels. In the meantime I am just going to relax, indoors of course, watch TV and drink honeydew melon juice, yeah.
It has been a while since I’ve written an injury report and since I woke up at 7:40 am today, yes it’s true, I decided that this morning was the morning to do it, makes sense?, no…….….anyway.
I have good news to report humans, I am at 90% power and almost, almost there. Last time that I went to see the doctor was on May 25th if I remember correctly, you can read the post here. The pain that once kept me down and out has gone from a constant 10+ to maybe a 2. I am walking straight, I can sit and I can sleep without pain at all.
I do have a slight discomfort that reaches maybe a .05+ in the pain department mostly in my hips and right leg and have been experiencing a sharp pain in my left hip every once in a while that can reach a 5 but all I have to do to make it go away is to move a certain way, this mostly happens when I am sitting down and get up. I have a theory for that particular pain, for a while because of the pain I would walk crooked leaning to the right. Now that I am better and walking straight all my muscles and joints have to re-adjust and maybe that re-adjustment is what is causing the pain, just my theory.
Overall, I am so much healthier and feeling a heck of lot better!!.
Today is a very special day for the whole family but specially for my sister. She is graduating from college today so congratulations are in order. I am so proud of her and the whole family is proud of her and again, congrats sis!!.
