Don’t ask me why but for some strange reason I thought that today was Thursday. I woke up, turned on Sunshine and then I noticed that the date said Friday to my surprise. I could blame my medication but I am sure that nobody would fall for that so I’ll blame me, yes me. I have been staying up late, as usual, and waking up even later, as usual, and that is how I lost track of time. Anyway, have a great weekend and I will see you Monday morning bright and early.
So much has been going on around here that I forgot to mention that I finally took my laptop Sunshine to see the doctor about two weeks ago. I had allocated $200 dollars because I just didn’t know what the problem was or how much it was going to be to fix it. I took it in I was told that it could either be a software or hardware problem with the hardware problem being the more expensive to fix. I then was asked if there was something that I wanted to have backed up and I said my pictures, it wasn’t until later that I remembered that all my iTunes songs and a lot of my business ideas were in there as well. In the end the problem was software and I ended up paying $75 dollars which wasn’t that bad and when I checked I had all my songs and business ideas still there, yay for me.Now for the bad news, the speakers don’t work and the screen seems dimmer than usual when I don’t have it plugged in. I am going to take it back as soon as I can but as you know that might be a while, yep.
The weather continues to be bad here in L.A., rain, thunder, mudslides, flooding, snow up in the mountains and even some reported tornadoes. From what I’ve heard rain will be over this weekend and that will give us some time to dry out.
Went to therapy on Tuesday, had my evaluation and was told that the cause of my pain could be one of my discs, I told the guy that if that was the case that I could get a bionic one to replace the damaged one, bad joke. I then got some actual therapy, they put heat pad and that felt good and then they used some ultra-sound machine which was odd because I am not pregnant, kidding, and that was uneventful. I then got four days off from work because I am not getting any better even with the medicine and that is what is annoying me the most. I just want to be better and get back to living my life.
Today, Friday, I went to see my doctor and he sent me to get some x-rays and I should be getting an MRI as soon as my insurance company approves it. I can go back to work on Monday but with a bunch of restrictions. I am going back this coming Monday and if I am allowed to stay with all those restrictions fine and if not then I will be away from work for the next two weeks.
So that is what has been happening this week, the time right now is 7:20pm and I am hungry so I am going to get something to eat. Have a great weekend and I will see you Monday morning bright and early.
Good afternoon from rainy, windy and supposed to be thundering L.A. but the day is still young and I am sure I will see some before the day is over. I didn’t work today since it’s a holiday, happy MLK day everybody. I was going to get up at 9am, my alarm went off but when I heard the rain and wind I decided to stay in bed ’til 12:30pm. The power went out a couple of times and sirens haven’t stopped since I woke up. The L.A. river, yes we have one, which is usually just a trickle most of the time has turned into a raging monster and from what I hear it’s going to be rainy all week and that is ok with me, I like rain.
I am so happy that today is Friday and sure can’t wait for the three day weekend. I am not 100% yet but I am going back to work today and see how it feels, if I don’t feel good I am going to leave early. My jaw is still a bit swollen, having an infection is so much fun, but I should be fine by Monday and I am not going back to the dentist until my jaw is no longer swollen. I am taking my medication, eating well and getting lots of rest but for some strange reason I am still tired. My leg keeps hurting and I am hoping that with some therapy that will change.

The weekend came and went and the medicine that I got on Thursday didn’t have any effect so this past Monday I went back to the emergency room because I couldn’t get an appointment with my regular doctor. I told the doctor on duty that the medicine was not having any effect and that I was still in pain so he gave me a new prescription and 4 days off to go along with that. I am still on the DL and going back to work on Friday, or am I?
Tuesday night I went to bed early but a tooth ache didn’t let me sleep at all, it was so painful that as soon as 9am Wednesday came around I went to the dentist. I was there until about 1:30pm and was told that I had an infection, they did some work and then was sent home with a new prescription. I am going back to dentist as soon as they refer me to an orthodontist hopefully today or tomorrow because they still haven’t finish with me.
2010 sure has started with a bang for my body, I will be just fine, all I need to do is take care of everything right now which is something that I should’ve done a long time ago.
I went back to work on the 4th and I could barely make it because of my nagging pain, the next day the same thing happened so on Wednesday I called in sick. On Thursday my sister took me to the emergency room, don’t worry I am still alive, when I got there I filled some paperwork and waited for a few. I was called in and told to put a dress on, that felt funny since I have never worn a dress before. So then I am given some medicine and then made an appointment to see my new doctor. That is the only thing that I did when I was on my 16 day vacation, I called and changed doctor. I saw him today and low and behold I have to see the Physical Therapist on the 19th at 10 am. My sister told me about this new place and it’s a good thing that I listened. Being on the DL is no fun specially when you want to do so much but hopefully everything will be fine.
After seeing the doctor we went to Target, she went her way and I went mine. I found a STP, a Guns ‘n Roses and an Iron Man t-shirts and bought them. The only thing that ticked me off about them is that even though I chose Large all three are different width, why can’t all shirts be the same even if they are from different companies. That is ok though, I think that I can live with that.
I am not going to work today, even with the medicine the pain is just too much. I am going to relax and hopefully I will be better on Monday.
First thing is first, Happy New year everybody, yes I know that I am a couple of days late but it’s the thought that counts, right?. I spent the last day of 09 playing MW2 online, it was a quiet night which is the way that I like them, a few fireworks and some gunshots rang out at midnight but that is the way it usually is here in L.A. during Christmas, New Years and the Fourth. I just can’t believe that 2009 is long gone and just like that my 16 day weekend is over and that means that I have to go back to work. I really, really don’t feel like going back to work but sadly I have to. Here is to hoping that this year will be better than last for everyone.
