After being PS3′less for the past week I decided to NIKE and so on Saturday I went and got me a new one. So my nephew and I headed out to Bestbuy at about 10am this past Saturday, got the slim PS3, a new Call of Duty 4 game, the old one is still stuck in the broken PS3, an extended 2 year warranty and reserved my copy of Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition, more on that when I get in in November.The new PS3 is a lot quieter and lighter than the old one which is all fine with me. The only drawback for me personally is that it doesn’t play my old PS1 or PS2 games like the broken one did. So, on Saturday night I gave it a thorough test drive which basically meant that I played all night into Sunday, went to bed at 10am and got up at 5pm on, now if you don’t mind I have a date with my PS3 and COD 4.
The 22nd finally got here and that meant that I had to go to the physical therapist for my evaluation. I got there, filled some paperwork, quite annoying if you ask me, and at 11 am I was called in and the evaluation started. I explained my pain as best as I could and then it was time for some physical tests. I didn’t take any medicine that morning because I wanted to be able to say were the pain was.
After everything was said and done, I was told that I do indeed need therapy, not mental and not yet anyway, physical. And the culprit is that sciatic nerve, I had a feeling than that was going to be the case and even wrote a post about it, apparently there is some bone in my hip pressing on that nerve and causing me a lot of pain. Now I have to wait for the treatment to be approved so I can start my therapy.
The rest of the day I was in so much pain that not even the Ibuprofen would make it go away thanks to all the test that I had to perform. That is why I didn’t post on Wednesday because as soon as I got home on Tuesday I went straight to bed, heck yeah.
It’s official, I am going to have to buy a new PS3 because that lousy yellow light of death killed it and from what I read overheating seems to be the cause of the majority of the problems that cause the yellow light of death. I also found out that I can either send it back to SONY so they can fix it for only $150 dollars plus tax of course or I can find someone that will fix it for a lot less.After giving the issue a lot of thought and because going through COD 4 withdrawal is not fun at all, I have decided to buy a new one with an extended warranty of course and down the line fix the other one so I can take it to work and play during my lunch breaks. Now if I could only get COD 4 out of it or else I am going to have to buy a game as well.
The weekend came and went with nothing new to report. I have been sad and lonely and for some strange reason I have only been listening to sad songs that only make things worse. I have been trying to keep myself busy but it never seems to work because as soon as my brain gets a chance those memories come back and catch up with me. I choke up and then the tears come and all I can do is wipe them away, it’s hard, it really is. I love her.
Anyway, watched a couple of movies and played a lot, and I do mean a lot of COD 4. Went to bed late the whole weekend and got up even later. If you remember last week I said that it was pouring for me, well, I have been playing so much COD 4 that I think I broke the PS3. It won’t turn on, I am going to give it a couple of days to see if it is just overheated and if that isn’t the case I know that I am going to end up paying for it to be fixed, yep.
Once upon a time I mentioned in a post my super cool destroyed t-shirts and at the time I remember writing that I thought that I looked “damn cool” in them and I did. Well, that was then and the reality now is quite different.
My destroyed t -shirts don’t make me look that cool anymore, in fact I think that every time I wear them that I look sorry. Most of them have holes and by holes I mean holes, big ones, under the armpits and some tears here and there. It doesn’t take that much effort to make a tear now, in fact I made one just putting a shirt on and that is bad.
So I am finally going to do something about it, after listening to a bunch of people and finally realizing that I don’t look cool in them anymore I have decided that I am not going to wear my old destroyed t-shirts anymore but have no fear because I am going to buy me some new ones and in time they will turn into destroyed t-shirts and once again I will look cooler than cool, heck yeah!.
A lot is going on in my life right now, I wish I could say that it’s all good but then I would be lying. That old saying is quite true you know, the one that goes “when it rains it pours”, well it’s pouring right now.
I am in pain as you know, that old nagging pain just got worse so living every hour of the day in pain is quite an annoyance. I did go see the doctor and he prescribed Ibuprofen and a muscle relaxant and to be honest it helps but not that much, I am going to go see the physical therapist on the 22nd but I still have one more week to go, ouch.
Then, there is the pain in my heart, not a medical problem by the way, I am sad, I am heart broken and that hurts even more than the physical pain. I wish I could see the doctor for this kind of pain but sadly I can’t. I just have to deal with it as best I can but it hurts, it really hurts. The pain must be obvious because my dad asked me this past Saturday if I was ok, I said yes and asked him why he had asked that and his reply was that I looked sad, I told him that I was ok even though I wasn’t.

Man, that sure was a long weekend huh, 23 days to be exact. Here is the scoop, my vacation was only 16 days as you and I both know but as soon as I came back home I was just in a bit of pain and to be honest I just didn’t feel like writing, I just wanted to relax. I know that my explanation sounds like Deja vu all over again but it’s the truth. I am back and will be posting regularly once again just like old times.
