I am so glad that Friday is here and even gladder, yes that is a word, that I have a four day weekend and will spend three of them in sunny or rainy South Carolina. The reason that I am so excited is that I am going to spend some time with a certain blue eyed, green eyed depending on the sun’s position, beauty that seems to be constantly in my thoughts. She is the reason why I have such a big smile on my face, she is the reason why I have been feeling so good lately and she is the reason why my days are so much brighter. I better stop my mushiness if I want to hang on to all the male readers of this blog, who wants to watch some UFC and drink some beers?.
We all know that life throws curve balls at you when you least expect it and it just happened to me and as a result of that I have to look for a better cell phone plan. I was going to go with an iPhone but the price for unlimited Internet, unlimited text messages and instant messages was just too much for me. So then I did some shopping around the way we are supposed to do, I went to T-Mobile and after checking their plans I found just what I was looking for. I want the G1 with the my Faves 300 plan and the unlimited web and text and instant messages Internet plan, plus with my Faves 300 I can make unlimited calls to my five favorite numbers without using my minutes. I am not really sure if I can send unlimited texts to my Faves though, the info that I read on the T-Mobile web site wasn’t too clear for me so I am going to go to a store and ask just to be sure, stay tuned now.
Today on this Memorial Day I want to take the time to salute those brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
And now for something totally irrelevant, today is the last day of my three day weekend and even though I am sad I am going to enjoy it as much as I can. The weather is going to be nice, in the 70′s so I am going to BBQ and spend some time under the peach tree, yeah. The 2009 Los Angeles Marathon is taking place today and the bike route part of it will pass about 100 feet from my house, first time that has ever happened if I remember correctly. I am feeling real good and I have been in such a good mood the last couple of days and I know exactly why. You see, I met a lovely lady not long ago and everything all of the sudden it’s a little brighter for me. We have been e-mailing everyday and we’ve been talking on the phone a couple of times a day. She seems to like me and I know that I like her and I truly enjoy her company. She makes me feel so good and I hope that I do the same for her. I sent her flowers the other day and I am going to send her a poem, yes a poem, that I wrote just for her. Love really makes you do things that you normally wouldn’t do, just look at me, a poet all of the sudden. Time will tell how this story ends and for the record, I am hoping for a happy ending.

There was another quake yesterday, I was just minding my own business when the 4.0 quake hit. The shaker it’s probably an aftershock to last Sunday’s 5.0 quake which has since been downgraded to a 4.7 on the Richter scale. The only thing that you can do about quakes is to be prepared because just like mother in laws they just show up when you least expect them, for the record, I have no mother in law and that is the way uh-huh, uh-huh, I like it, uh-huh, uh-huh…………………….sorry, just couldn’t help it.
On the one hand the weekend couldn’t have been any better. Something very nice it’s happening to me personally and that makes me feel real good. I am not going to go into much detail right now but at some point I will.
On the other hand somebody that I love is going through a very tough time and that has been slowly taking its toll on me. All I can do is watch, help and encourage and the fact that I can’t do more kills me. The whole situation is making me physically sick, I can feel it and if I am not careful I am going to end up in the hospital, I truly believe that. I can’t tell you much about it either but when the time is right maybe I will.
And to finish this post there was a 5.0 quake here in L.A., the house jumped and shook but there was no damage. There were some broken windows closer to the epicenter which was down in Lennox about 10 miles away from me. There have been aftershocks here and there but nothing major.
Once upon a time I was just surfing the net, like I usually do, and I just didn’t know where to go or what to read so I decided to search for some wallpapers, a F-14 tomcat to be more precise and I found it. Ever since then I have been going back to that same website pretty much everyday. The name of the place is the Desktop Nexus, click here to check it out, and there you’ll find tons and I do mean tons of wallpapers. They have different categories such as Aircraft, Nature and Sports to name just a few and each of them with sub-categories. When I see something that I like I just download it and presto, ready to grace Sunshine’s screen. I wish that I could remember the name of the wallpaper that I have right this second but I can’t. Have no fear, when I find out the name I will let you know in the comments section.

As you well know, if you follow this blog, I am a huge Futbol fan. I have followed Major League Soccer and my team the four time champion DC United since their inception in 1996. There are 15 teams in the League and I am excited to announce the newest team, The Philadelphia Union. The Union will start playing come next season and I can’t wait to see the United vs Union battle. I have to say that their team name and logo are some of the best in MLS, I am very impressed with them. What is a guy to do when he gets no sleep?, my answer is simple, make the best of it and that is what I did. It was a busy weekend to begin with, my nephew went to his prom on Saturday and it was Mother’s Day on Sunday. When I had some spare time I tried to work on something blog related but that didn’t go to well, I wanted to make some changes but ran into some technical difficulties so in the end everything stayed the same but I am going to keep on trying. It’s a pain not getting enough sleep and I am pretty sure that it won’t be the last time that it happens to me. I am one day late with this post but I am sure you don’t mind that., right?.
For some strange reason I’d forgotten to do some Spring cleaning but fear not I will do it sooner than you think. I am going to start on my blogs because I just don’t feel like picking up a broom, anyway, I am going to check old posts and if there are any that seem out of place or just plain bad, can’t be because I only write award winning stuff, I am going to delete them. Just trying to keep my blogs in shape because as we all know it’s good for their health and my sanity. So if one of these days you are looking for a favorite post and you can’t find it, then you know what happened to it.
