It is Friday and the time is 7:30 PM here in the city of angels. I am a busy guy as you know, yeah right, but I decided to take some time out of my busy schedule, yeah real busy, to let you know about this movie I just watched.
I just watched Enchanted and I love this movie so much that I am going to get it on Blu-ray as soon as I can. So if you haven’t seen it I highly recommend that you do, in fact go and check your local listing right now. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the movie but it sure surprised me, I need to remember that don’t judge a book by its cover saying more often I guess.
I specially loved that Giselle, the princess in the movie, she reminded me of someone I know at work. The same facial features and just as pretty, why did I mention that?, I don’t know but I am a sucker for damsels and princesses in distress or any pretty woman to be honest.
The second day of my four day weekend is here and it is Black Friday. There are so many sales today and so many tempting offers that I am thinking, just thinking, of maybe doing some shopping. I still have some items on my shopping list that I have to take care of and since I can save some money now why not just do it. In the meantime I am going to enjoy my Friday as much as I can shopping or not.
I have been sick since last Wednesday night and thanks to that the weekend wasn’t that much fun to be honest. I slept a lot and was awake a lot more so I am still tired and alive but not 100% yet. I only work 3 days this week and I am so glad because I really need the time off. I did manage to catch MLS Cup 2008 and just like I predicted the Columbus Crew won 3-1 so a big congratulations to them on their first championship. The rest of the weekend I was mostly medicated and so it’s a big blur to me, yep.

The long Major League Soccer season is coming to and end this weekend with MLS Cup 2008 between the Columbus Crew 17-7-6 57 points and the New York Red Bulls 10-11-9 39 points. The Crew earned the Supporters Shield as well which is awarded to the team with the best regular season record. Congratulations are in order to both teams for making it to the big game.
The game will be played here in Los Angeles at the Home Depot Center and will be live on ABC, check your local listings. Prediction time, the Crew were the most consistent team all season and in my opinion they will win their first MLS Cup on Sunday and will walk away with the new Philip F. Anschutz Trophy, picture below which is a great improvement over previous ones.
I was waiting at the bus stop on Monday just minding my own business the way I always do. There was another guy and a woman waiting as well, how did I notice them?, well just because I am minding my own business doesn’t mean that I am not aware of my surroundings. After a few minutes I saw this pretty woman walking my way, I look at her she looks at me and continues on her way. I don’t know why, ok I do know why, but for a moment I seem to have forgotten about everything else because I just kept looking at her and next thing I know the bus is there. So I go to to the door, I motion to the woman so she goes in first and then I motion to the guy to go in as well, just being courteous, and then he says to me, “hey you are going to miss the bus if you keep looking like that” to which I laughed and answered, “it happens sometimes”. It was pretty obvious that I had that OMG!! look on my face while I was looking at that woman so I knew what he was talking about.
Let me tell you a story, this happened last Friday but let me give you a little info first, I live close to a nightclub that is quite a pain. Their patron’s park on my street (nothing wrong with that) and sometimes get very loud when they go home, I suppose it’s all the alcohol they consume. Anyway, I was just getting home at about 2:15 am, my friend turns the corner and at the same time I see about 5 people coming from the club walking on the sidewalk. He stops in front of my place, I say bye to him, I walk for a few feet and then I stop to let those five people I saw before walk by when one of the girls looks at me and asks for my autograph, I say ok and as I am signing her paper she says to me, “those idiots in the band didn’t want to sign it”, she didn’t say idiots, in fact she used a more colorful word. I hand the paper back to her, she says thanks and then she goes her way with her friends. I just stood there for a few minutes just looking at them and thinking about what just happened. It was a very funny experience, I just chuckle every time I remember the whole thing.
If you are a regular reader of this blog then I am sure you are wondering about my many injuries, ok three injuries and not one more, I hope. Anyway, if you remember I wrote a post about a problem with my hearing, you can read that post here. I am happy to report that my hearing is back to normal, I was sitting at home one Sunday when all of the sudden I heard a couple of pops in my ear and I could hear perfectly again and have not had a problem since.
My other injury was when I hit my toe on a huge piece of wood somebody ( I still don’t know who left it there by the way) left laying around. My nail broke off completely and I wrote a post about it and you can read that here. I am happy to report that my toenail is 95% back. That is welcome news because it’s very strange to look down at your toe and not see a nail there.
My last injury is the one that has been nagging me the longest and just doesn’t want to go away. That pain on my right thigh is still there and I just have not been able to make it go away. I still do a lot of stretching because that seems to work but only for some time and then its back to again. I hope that next time I write an Injury Report there won’t be any new injuries to report.
I was in some place and then all of the sudden I see two huge monsters ( I kid you not) fighting in what it looked like a pool. Then this woman appears and the two of us run towards this huge building with huge doors and go inside. I then realized that the monsters are heading our way so I grab the woman by the arm and quickly head down some stairs on the side of the building. We end up in a place quite a bit away from that huge building and we stay there and watch. Sure enough the monsters are in that huge building fighting and we can see the building swaying from side to side. Then I look and in the distance another huge monster is heading our way so I once again grab the woman and we head down some more stairs to get away from that other monster and then I woke up.
What does the dream mean?, I sure have no idea but it was a fun dream to say the least because monsters scare me not.
After taking the better part of last week off I am back but for some strange reason I just don’t want to be back. I don’t know why but I just don’t feel like writing at all. Anyway, I am going to just leave it at that and I will see you later.
