I have this little problem and it’s becoming quite an annoyance. Last Wednesday I woke up and I couldn’t hear that well, my left ear was the problem. I still can’t hear that well and it has been one week. My hearing is only 25% of what it should be and that sucks big time. It’s kind of like when you have been on a car for a while and all of the sudden you realize that you can’t hear that well but all you have to do is swallow to relieve the pressure and presto, back to normal. I feel the pressure and I have swallowed quite a few times and I can hear well for just a sec when I do but it just won’t relieve that pressure completely.
The culprit is earwax, how do I know that?. That is what caused it before so it has to be the same thing again. If it was something serious I think I couldn’t hear a thing, but that is just speculation on my part. I am going to wait and see for now because I have this feeling that my hearing will be back to normal soon so don’t worry I’ll be just fine.
Hey,the time is 11:46 AM here in Los Angeles and we just had an earthquake. It shook for a few seconds with a preliminary magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale centered on the Chino Hills area. It was felt all the way from Los Angeles to San Diego and even Las Vegas. Stay tuned now, no major damage reported so far.
Update: The earthquake has just been downgraded to a 5.4 by the California Institute of Technology better known as CALTECH.
The weekend was a very busy one for me. I did a lot of blogging related work. I spent quite a long time online finding out as much as I could about themes and everything related to them.
Too much work is not good for you so I took a few breaks in between all that work. I watched two games (ok, one and a half to be honest) on Sunday because there were none on Saturday, that was sad for me. The first game was between the San Jose Earthquakes and the New York Red Bulls ended up in a 1-1 tie. I only watched half of the game because I fell asleep right after halftime. The next game was between the L.A. Galaxy and the FC Dallas, that game was a blowout with Dallas winning 4-0. I also got a present for my nephew because today happens to be his 17 birthday, Happy Birthday!!.
I can honestly say that it was a very good and busy weekend and didn’t mind that at all. I learned a lot of new stuff and I am very happy about that.
I just don’t know why but I am feeling so good today. I am not saying that I am always sad or in a bad mood, nope. It is just that I am feeling extra good today and I can’t find a reason (as if there has to be one) why. I am listening to my iPod, singing (lip-synching) along and even dancing (without anybody catching me of course) and I don’t know why.
I think I am going to stop trying to find a reason why and I am just going to enjoy it as much as I can. Sometimes you just have to let it ride. Have a great weekend and I will see you Monday morning bright and early.

Let me tell you a story, this happened last Wednesday. I was on the bus on my way home at about 8:30 PM. I like sitting all the way in the back either on the right or left window but those were taken that so I had to settle for the middle seat which is my third favorite place to sit. So there I am just minding my own business when this guy gets on the bus, beard and sunglasses which don’t help that much at night as far as I know.
The guy sitting on my right hand side was on the phone, one of those loud people who have no manners and don’t mind informing the rest of us about their not so private conversations. Sunglasses dude kept looking back at loud dude and for a second I thought that he was going to say something but nothing happened. Next stop some more people get on the bus and this little older dude gets on and sits next to sunglasses dude. I wasn’t paying attention to them so next thing I know sunglasses dude and little dude are standing up in a holding match where little dude was grabbing sunglasses dude’s arm to keep him from coming closer while sunglasses kept saying, “let me go or I’ll hit you” to little dude. Sunglasses dude and little dude break it up, nothing happens and that was it, I thought.
Sunglasses dude then moved to the back of the bus and stood there maybe a couple of feet away from me. Then he moved and it was pretty obvious that he wanted the available seat right next to me which was totally fine. But then he said to me “scoot over sir”, and right when he said that I said to myself, “where the hell does this guy want me to scoot over to?”, so then I looked at the seat next to me and then looked at him and said, “that is all I can do” and he just looked at me and then moved away. So then I knew why he got into an argument with little dude, sunglasses is one of those people that don’t like other people sitting too close to them. Hey if that is your thing, let me give you some advice, don’t take the bus ok. Moral of the story, you don’t give into bullies. If I had scoot over like that loser wanted me to he would have kept on pestering me, always hold your ground and bullies will walk away, trust me.
I took a couple of days off last week and so I ended up having a four day weekend and you know how I like those. The plan was to rest as much as I could but sadly that wasn’t the case. I went to bed late as usual and woke up late as usual again and as a result I am as tired as I was when the weekend started. I have no one to blame but myself and I can thank my lack of discipline.
I did managed to catch the game between the L.A. Galaxy and the New York Red Bulls which ended in a 2-2 tie on Saturday. I spent a lot of time playing Parasite Eve during the weekend and maybe just a bit of Call of Duty 4. I made it all the way to the end in Parasite Eve but I just can’t beat that last guy. Anyway, I am not going to take too much of your time today but I will on some other post.
If you are like me then you love Abba just as much. Abba has been on my iPod ever since I got it for my birthday. Before that Abba used to be on my Zune when I used to own one. When I got the Abba Gold cd a while back I found out that there was a Broadway musical based on Abba’s music called Mamma Mia! and wouldn’t you know it Mamma Mia! the movie is coming out this very day. Since I have taken a couple of days off from work I was thinking (just thinking) of going to see the movie but knowing me, knowing you, ah-haaa there is nothing we can do, I just have to face it this time, I am through and all I want to do this sunny Friday is to just stay home and rest.

Yesterday on my way home I was minding my own business waiting for the bus on the corner of Wilshire and Vermont. After about 15 minutes I saw the bus coming and as it got closer and closer I could see that it was full. There were about 25 people at the bus stop so I thought that after seeing how full the bus was they would just let it make its stop and not even try to get on. To my surprise as soon as the bus stopped I saw most of them trying to get on the bus. I am standing there just looking at all those people going through the door and when there was about two left outside the driver finally closed the door.
The bus started to go and as it went by in front of me I could clearly see that this bus was full. I have seen full buses and have even been on a few myself but nothing like that bus. I could see people packed like sardines from the front steps all the way to the back. As the bus drove away I followed it with my eyes and apparently I wasn’t the only one watching it, a woman and her children were watching the same scene I was watching. I just waited for the next bus which was full but not like the first one and that is the way I like it. Always remember this, if the bus is full people just wait for the next one, that is unless you really have to get somewhere in a hurry then you are on your own.
The weekend was nice, not great but nice. As far as the weather was concerned it was hot, humid and sticky. I counted four flash flood warnings, I don’t remember that happening ever before.
I didn’t do that much this weekend either, I tried to relax as much as I could but it sure didn’t happen. In fact I can honestly say that I am tired and sure wouldn’t mind another day off. I watched a couple of games, started playing Resident Evil 4 and X-2 The Threat again and lets not forget about Call of Duty 4. I also watched a couple of games, the first episode of the new season of Big Brother 10 and that was it for my weekend. Hopefully next weekend will be a lot more productive but we are going to have to wait and see if that is the case.

I have been a comic book reader and collector for a while now. I love the art, the stories, the characters the comic books themselves. Sadly I have not bought my regular comic books for a while, I don’t remember how long to be honest. My local comic book store which was so conveniently located close to my job closed and left me high and dry.
I am left with three choices, start going to a store on Melrose Avenue, a store in Santa Monica or stop collecting all together. I think I am going to have to go with choice number two and start going to the store in Santa Monica, besides it is closer to my job and also close to the beach and that doesn’t hurt one bit.
These are the comics I was collecting before the store closed.
- Savage Dragon: By far my favorite character of all. This guy is green and tough, can take a beating and keep on ticking, believe me.
- Green Lantern Corps: Did you know that I have my own power ring and that can only mean…….
- Ms Marvel: Blonde and……………….I better not say anything more.
- She-Hulk: She is green and strong just like her cousin and I happen to like green women.
- Thor: What can be said about the god of thunder?, stay out of his hammer’s way?, only if you want to.
- Capt Edwin: One of the most powerful SPB’s on the planet, tall, dark and oh so handsome.
