Something happened to me yesterday. I was heading to work and was minding my own business listening to my Nano waiting for the shuttle that takes me to work. All of the sudden a car stopped in front of me with this pretty woman driving, in my head I am going woooo hoooooo like any normal guy would, then she says to me “excuse me”. I got closer and leaned down to see what she wanted, in my head I was going damn she is prettier than I thought, and then the shocker.
She grabs an envelope and says to me, ” could you put this in the mailbox for me please”, by then my mind had completely gone blank, and all I could do was smile and comply to the request, “sure” I said and grabbed the envelope and put it in the mailbox. She said “thank you” and drove away, yep. And that was the end of my 10 second hope it turns into something romance, such a sad story but it had to be told.
On Saturday I didn’t do anything but be lazy but then again that is what I do every weekend. I was ready for the game between the L.A. Galaxy and Chivas USA. The game was a shootout and in the end the Galaxy won 5-2 and surprise surprise they are in second place on the Western Division with 7 points. My team the four time champion D.C. United also won beating Real Salt Lake 4-1 now all they have to do is keep it up because we are still in last place of the Eastern Division with 6 points, no good. I went online for a few and then went to bed……………………late again.
Sunday I woke up at 11:51 AM so I quickly jumped in the shower and was out in about 10 minutes. Hey the game between the N.Y. Red Bulls and the San Jose Earthquakes started at noon so I had to be there. The game ended with a 2-0 Red Bulls win. I then took a nap because it was soooooo hot and I just couldn’t concentrate on anything. I woke up from my nap feeling refreshed at about 4 PM. Next thing I know it’s 8 PM and I sat down to watch the Big Brother 9 finale, I don’t think I have ever mentioned what else I watch besides Futbol huh. After the Big Brother final I watched last Thursday’s episode of Survivor Fans vs Favorites that I missed. After that I went to be……………………….late.
Last week I wrote about my search for accessories for my phone and my iPod and the pain of trying to order online. The pain I talk about is when you find something at a website and you want to buy it but you don’t want to create an account with them. I understand that if you are a regular shopper and you buy often it makes things easier but if you only buy that one time then I don’t get it but enough of that. I finally placed my order and yesterday I got my stuff and now I am happy. I bought a metal case for my Motorola Q Global and one for my iPod Nano and I have to say that they both look good. I even took a picture for everybody to see, check below.

When the current MLS season started I was darn happy because I am a big Futbol fan. If you are a reader of this blog then you are very familiar with the name of my favorite team, yes that four time champion D.C. United.
When I saw that I could sign on for Fantasy Futbol I jumped at the chance and quickly signed up. I was given a $5,000.000 dollar budget and had to stay under that amount when choosing my players, ok no problem. I choose my team and quickly got ready for week 1. I honestly thought that I was going to do real good but when I checked my stats I had only managed 48 points, I was in shock to say the least.
I decided to make some changes, so I transferred some players and decided to go with a 3-4-3 formation instead of the 4-4-2 from week one. My reasoning for that change was that the more strikers I have on the filed the better chances of getting more points, makes sense right. I was ready for week 2 expecting better results. I checked my stats and to my surprise I only had 58 points which was no good in my opinion.
Again I made some more transfers and stuck with the 3-4-3 formation and went into week 3 ready to do better. I checked my stats and sure enough I did worst with only 18 points, yep. I mentioned to some of my friends at work about the whole Fantasy thing and how badly I was doing and that is when the “you suck” came up.
Week 4, I stayed with the same formation and I being the optimist that I am I knew that I was going to do a lot better this time around. The final tally of week 4, 60 points.
I am ranked 12690 out of I don’t know how many other players with a score of 148 lousy points. The team in first place has a score of 627. As you can see I have a long way to go before I catch up but I will. I want to be in the top 100 and that is where I’ll be when the season is over. And for the record, no I don’t suck at Fantasy Futbol my players do.
Saturday was one of those days, the weather was cool so I stayed indoors. I was awake all Friday night and into Saturday morning and didn’t go to bed until 1 PM. It wasn’t “sleep” but more of a nap, I ended waking up at about 5 PM. At 6:30 PM I watched the game between the San Jose Earthquakes and the Colorado Rapids. I like everybody else expected the Rapids to win but the Earthquakes hit a 6.0 on the Richter scale and ended up winning 2-0. I then watched some TV and finally went to bed at 3:30 AM I think it was.
Sunday I woke up at 11 AM because I wanted to watch the game between the Chicago Fire and the Kansas City Wizards. The game was ok with some good saves and a lot of misses but in the end the Wizards won 1-0 and not they sit in first place in the Eastern Division. My team the four time champion D.C. United played last Thursday and lost to the Columbus Crew 2-1, I am not going to say anything about that. Watched some TV and then went to bed late again, that is turning into a weekend pattern. Overall it was a good weekend and I can’t wait for the next one.

I was surfing the net yesterday looking for a place where I could buy a case for my Motorola Q global and my iPod Nano and after searching and searching I found just the place and what I was looking for. For my Q I chose a nice looking black metal case and being the type of guy that I am I went with a metal case for my Nano as well, it’s a matching thing you know. So far so good, right?. Well not exactly, after adding both items to my cart I clicked on the checkout button and lo and behold that is when it happened. Since I was a new customer I had to create a new account with that merchant and that is when I split.
Why is it that every time we shop online and we come to a new store we have to create a new account, don’t they know that we already have a million accounts and passwords to go along with them and we don’t want another one. I understand that it can be very convenient sometimes specially if you shop a lot at the same place but not if you want to get something just one time, like I did. At least that is how I feel, why can’t we choose if we want to either create a new account or skip that and go directly to the checkout page. I assume that is why a lot of people leave their carts and split like I did. So if any merchants are reading this post please do us a favor and give us a choice please, your bottom line will be highly increased trust me.
I still will get the cases from that same merchant but this time I will call instead and place my order the old fashioned way.
I have had this stomach ache for the last two days. Monday I had two burgers and mango juice I for lunch. At about 7:30 PM I ate half of a turkey breast and ham Subway sandwich but I don’t honestly remember if I had a stomach ache before or after that. I do remember telling my friends that I had a stomach ache and that I was wondering why, that was at about 9:45 PM.
The pains wasn’t that bad on Monday or Tuesday but it was enough write a post about it and enough to become a constant annoyance. Funny thing is, I ate lunch yesterday and it didn’t seem to make it worst that it already was but I didn’t eat dinner because I wasn’t hungry. I think I am going to do what I always do when I have a headache, forget about it.
It is Monday and I am tired. I did not get that much sleep and that is the main reason why I am so tired. Saturday I got home at about 5:30 AM and I went to bed about an hour later. I got up at 2 PM I think it was and got ready for the game between the Chicago Fire and the San Jose Earthquakes. It was an ok game that ended up with a 1-0 win in favor of the Fire. As soon as that game was over I jumped over to catch the game between the Columbus Crew and Chivas USA. The game was a shootout which the Crew won 4-3. My team, the four time champion D.C. United was beaten real bad by Real Salt Lake 4-0, that is not acceptable to me or any other United fan but the season young so there is no need to worry yet. By the time 10 PM came around I was tired and ready to get some sleep, I laid down and after tossing and turning for a few I turned the TV on and ended up going to sleep a bit past 5 AM.
I woke up at about 2 PM Sunday and I felt like I had not slept at all. I got some food and then sat down to watch TV. I ended up going to bed at about 2 AM. It wasn’t a good weekend for me as you can tell but it was all my fault for not getting enough sleep. I am going to do my best and get some sleep today because I need it.
After waiting for about four days I finally got a call from my doctor telling me that my eyeglasses were ready. So I head on to the clinic and sure enough they they are my new eyeglasses. I took my old eyeglasses off and tried the new ones on and the girl at the counter goes, “wow, big change”. I asked if they looked good and she said they did.
I then showed my friends and all of them gave me a thumbs up. I can tell you that I am real happy with my new look but like everything it will take a few days to get used to. Now I can wear my hat with my new glasses and look cooler than cool.
No, today is not my birthday but I did celebrate it during the weekend. Yes I am happy to be alive and kicking and blogging and anything else I may have missed. I had BBQ and cake and that was good but what is a birthday without presents, right?. I got the phone I wanted, the Motorola Q global and an 8 GB iPod nano black because all super heroes wear black as you know. Saturday I watched the game between the Columbus Crew and the N.Y. Red Bulls, it was a good game but in the end N.Y. won 2-0. My team, the four time champion D.C. United beat up on Toronto F.C. 4-1. I didn’t sleep at all Saturday night, I played Call Of Duty 4 for maybe 30 minutes and then spent the rest of the night online checking something. When Sunday came around I finally signed out, that was about 7 AM, and watched some TV.
At 10:30 AM off to the mall I went along with my sister, brother and his girlfriend. We walked around an I ended up buying two T-shirts. We got back home at about 2:30 PM and by then I was tired and quite sleepy. I missed the game between the Houston Dynamo and the F.C. Dallas which ended up in a 3-3 tie. I watched TV the rest of the evening, got online for a while too and then I finally went to sleep at about 11 PM, and that was the way my weekend ended.
