The three day weekend was very nice, I didn’t do that much to be honest. On Friday night I went to bed early but I was up by 4:30 AM Saturday. Since I was up bright and early, where have I heard that before, I watched some TV, had some coffee and then got online. I then went shopping, I will tell you what I got on another post and by the time I got home it was time.
Time for what you ask, time for Opening Kick 2008 between the two teams that were in last year’s final, the champion Houston Dynamo and the New England Revolution. The result of the match was a lot different than last year final’s, final score New England 3 Houston 0. Then it was time for the second game of the double header between the L.A. Galaxy and the Colorado Rapids. The Galaxy got blown away 4-0, that I wasn’t expecting. And that brings us to my team, the mighty D.C. united which lost 2-0 to the Kansas City Wizards. I am not too happy about that but then I remember that last season started bad as well and we ended up with the best record in the League so forget about it and move on. Sunday was a relaxing day, didn’t do that much. I did watch the game between Chivas USA and the F.C. Dallas which ended in a tie but the rest of the day I took it easy. I had a nice weekend to say the least and now it’s time to get back to work.

Last year I was so disappointed when my team didn’t make to MLS Cup. We had the best record in the league, the top goal scorer and that fifth championship was supposed to be ours. Sadly it didn’t happen that way but like I always say, there is always next season and that season is upon us.
Yes, the 2008 MLS season starts this Saturday and I couldn’t be happier. You see, that mighty four time champion D.C. United is back and no doubt will take its rightful place atop the Eastern Conference and the league. As always check your local listings.

Winter is over and Spring is here and those nice sunny days are coming back. I know because the weekend was so nice, sunny and warm just the way I like it. To bad I didn’t do that much this past weekend.
On Saturday I relaxed, watched the TV shows that I taped during the week. I played Call Of Duty 4 for about 45 minutes I think and then I went to bed early, 10 PM.
Sunday was great, I woke up at 4 AM, since there was nothing to do at that time I played Call Of Duty 4 for about one hour. Then I got online and surfed the net for about 2 hours. When I was finished with that I took a shower and then watched some TV. Checked my mail and shredded what was not needed. I then turned on my home computer and deleted unnecessary files, then I defragmented my hard drive and finally did a complete scan. After than I played X-2 The Threat which I haven’t played in a while. I then took a nap and when I woke up at about 4:30 PM I did a laundry load, got some food and then watched some more TV and then went to bed. I can’t wait for the next weekend specially when I know that it will be a three day weekend, oh yeah.
It is 3:08 AM and I can’t go to sleep. It’s not the first time that has happened so I am just watching “Batman: Mask Of the Phantasm”, it is an animated movie but don’t let that stop you I recommend it. I am also writing and surfing the net, that is what you call “multi-tasking”, really easy once you get the hang of it.
The only good thing about today is that it’s Friday and I have been ready for the weekend since Monday. I have no specific plans for the weekend but I am sure something will come up to keep me entertained. Maybe I will go and play some basketball or maybe I should just go to bed, there is an idea. Anyway, enjoy your weekend and I will see you in a couple of days.
Live update: The time is 3:39 AM and I’ve just heard the LAPD helicopter fly by and about 5 squad cars going somewhere in a hurry.
First thing first, if you are wondering about the title of today’s post here is the answer, Happy Saint Patrick’s Day everybody and specially to all those pretty red head girls out there, remember to wear something green. Now if you are like me you’ll see this as an opportunity, I will not wear anything green hoping that one of those pretty girls sees me and pinches me, wink, wink.
Sadly the weekend is over and gone and that can only mean that it’s time to get back to work. Are weekends going fast or is it me?, I just don’t know. Let me tell you about my boring weekend, I didn’t do that much to be honest. I didn’t even play Call of Duty 4 that much, maybe a couple of hours the whole weekend and that was it. I did do a lot of thinking, every once in a while it happens and this was the week for me.
My fingers hurt, my right shoulder hurts, my lower back hurts, my right hip hurts, my legs hurt and my feet hurt and I can honestly say then even my toenails hurt. To put it in as few words as possible, my whole body hurts. This is a perfect example of whenever you are going to do something physical at least practice beforehand or face the music, unfortunately I can’t seem to follow my own advice. My team’s first game was at 10:30 AM and we won, wasn’t happy with my performance 4 lousy points and about 5 rebounds. By the end of the game I was quite sore and tired, it was a good thing that we had a break while the other teams played. After watching that game we got ready for our second game against none other than the eventual tournament champion. In the end we lost 15-2, yep we got our butts kicked all right. My stats were even lousier than the first game, with 2 points and about 3 rebounds I was just glad that it was all over because I had nothing left. I then went to get some food and was back at 3 PM to watch the championship game. It was all over by 4:30 PM, I went home, took a shower and then relaxed. I ended up going to bed at 10 PM and totally forgot about Monday’s post. This much I know, I am going to start practicing more, where have I heard that before?……………..hmmmm.
Friday is finally here and as usual I am ready for the weekend. I am looking forward to this particular weekend because I will be participating in a basketball tournament and this time around there is no rain in on the forecast and even it there is rain we’ll be playing indoors this time around so there won’t be a reason to cancel the way it happened two weeks ago, read about it here. Now, In reality I know it is going to be hard specially since I have not played in quite a while but I am a positive guy so I expect to score at least 20 points per game and grab at least 10 rebounds per game and assist on at least 4 plays. my team will play 2 games that we know, 3 if we make it to the championship game which I have no doubt we will.
Enough about that, have a great weekend and I will see you Monday bright and early as usual.
It’s going to be no surprise to anybody when I say that I like the weekends and mostly for one reason, I get to forget about work and just relax. This weekend was no exception. I didn’t do that much to be honest, I watched some shows I had taped, played a lot of Call Of Duty 4 and slept a lot. I still have to do a lot of reading because I have such a back up you wouldn’t believe.
On Sunday the L.A. Marathon took place and by the time I woke up it was over. I honestly have not paid that much attention to the marathon in a while, maybe it’s because I am not a runner. Maybe I should become one, we’ll see. I watched the movie “Aliens”, the best of the Alien movies if you ask me and if you have never watched it I highly recommend it. And that was pretty much how my boring weekend went.
